ASA Tour Trucks

MTT changed the name because we felt like having it as "Midwest Tour Trucks" that we would scare people away because they thought it was either for only people in the Midwest which it's not because we have a few drivers out west and east that race in this league, or else that we only raced on Midwest tracks on iRacing which sadly can't happen. So we changed it to ASA Tour Trucks and it stands for "American Sim Association".

With racing starting back up this week, we would like to reflect on last years first ever MTT Champion and a very great year Travis Townsend had but now its time to look forward will a new champion emerge or will Townsend make it two years in a row? We'll see you this Friday at 7pm CST when the green flag drops.

Tom Moustakas would start on the pole right besides him was Travis Townsend he would start in second place for the 89 lap race at Thompson Speedway, on the drop of the green flag a caution came out because of the way the field started they were going three wide right before the green flag ever flew, so with already having a caution, Tom Moustakas had much to worry with Travis Townsend righ besides him and the 16 of Michael Zebley behind him. When the green flag flew once again the 83 of Travis Townsend got loose going into turn 1 letting Tom Moustakas stay alive for the lead. With 9 laps in the book Tom Moustakas was gaining a huge lead over Travis Townsend but that would all change when the 18 had gotten loose and spun going into turn 2 and as all of the drivers made there were towards turn 1 and 2 on lap 10 the yellow was thrown as a saftey percaution. On lap 11 Tom Moustakas had faked going into the pits tricking Travis Townsend into thinking that the leader would go down pit road with him, so now Tom Moustakas had to worry about a new contender Chris Caskey. On lap 15 eight trucks came back to life but as they were going into turn 1 Travis Townsend who had been in third on the restart got loose and went down into David Green (19) crashing right infront of a pack of drivers, David green and Travis Townsend would both be told to go to the end of the line due to the incident, during the caution race leader Tom Moustakas would pit giving up his first place position to Chris Caskey. On lap 22 the green flag waved once again at Thompson Speedway Chris Caskey would quickly move away from the pack with Joe Pisciotta Jr in second, and John Quinton in third. John Quinton tapped the back of Joe Pisciotta and turned Pisciotta sideways but saved it, that put Townsend back into position to try to steal first place away from Caskey, Townsend would start gaining on Caskey after he got a little sideways going into turn 2. One lap later Travis Townsend would get involved in yet another crash with the race leader Chris Caskey, Chris Caskey would have to forfiet his first place spot as he was smoking all over the track, giving the lead to Travis Townsend, but Townsend would give up first place on lap 26 as he was going down pit road. Josh Quinton would be your new leader with David Green right behind him on the restart Tom Moustakas wasted no time trying to get back into first, going into turn 1 David Green would let off the throttle just enought for Tom Moustakas to make his move on him, soon after taking second away from Green, Tom Moustakas would find himself battling John Quinton for first, Moustakas would easily take away first place from John Quinton, Tom Moustakas's night would soon turn bad on lap 30 race leader Tom Moustaka loss control of his Truck and hit hard into the wall, and collected the 18 of Kalvin Morton, The 1 of John Quinton, and the 12 of Jarrett Duncovich. on lap 46 with only 4 trucks in the race 3 trucks went into the pits and ended there night giving the win to Travis Townsend.
